As you can tell from the title of this post, even in the apparently always cold
and rainy Germany spring seems to have finally sprung!
Although I love wearing pastel
shades in outfits as well as on my nails basically all year round, I especially tend to
combine many different pastels at once when it comes to springtime. Because of that
(and maybe my weakness of decision-making) I used six different nail polishes
to create this bright and colourful nail design!
Polishes used:
orange: KIKO - 359 Light Peach
blue: ciaté - ferris wheel
pink: Sephora by O·P·I - Seeing Pink Elephants
mint: ciaté - pepperminty
yellow: ciaté - big yellow taxi
white: essie - blanc
top coat: essie - good to go
For me, personally, spring would definitely have to be one of my favourite seasons (besides autumn)! I just enjoy it when everything starts blooming and all of my surroundings are finally getting more and more colourful again after a long and cold winter. The temperature is just perfect as you can easily go outside without wearing a thick jacket and you also don't melt down completely which can sometimes be the case for me during summer ☼
What is your favourite season? Do you also gravitate towards different colour schemes when the season is changing? ☺
I love this nail design and the colors! They are perfect for spring and summer! :D

Thank youu! ☺
DeleteMy favourite season is autumn, but right after that comes spring (followed by winter. Summer is my least favourite. I really don't like summer xD). I am glad spring has arrived, mostly because people will now finally stop wearing nothing but black and grey. I am a big fan of pastel colours and a lot of people seem to be like you, wearing colours according to a season. Aparently, black and grey are TEH colour to wear in the colder seasons... I on the other hand am almost always wearing colour. All black outfits are reserved for my "super-classy-feeling" or "my super-depressed-leave-me-alone-i-hate-the-world" days xD
ReplyDeleteYour nails look amazing! Not only the way you applied all those pretty nailpolishes, but the nails itself, too. Are those even real? If they are: Lucky you. ♥♥♥
I don't want to be pushy or annoy you, but I'd really like to befriend you. With no option of contacting you other than in the comments that's really hard though. Would you maybe like to give me an E-Mail addy of yours? Or you could just send me a message on mine (which is linked on my page in the sidebar). Only if you want, though.
Unfortunately, I'm also one of those people who kind of only wear monochrome in the colder seasons :D I do believe that adding a little bit of colour to your outfit can really help brighten up your mood, though!
DeleteAlso, thanks a lot for your compliment and YES, my nails actually are 100% real - I think I would hate the feeling of having a piece of plastic attached to my fingers ^_^
Don't worry, you're not being pushy or anything at all, I'd love to get more in contact with you - just take a look at your inbox! ☺
These are gorgeous!! I'm definitely with you on favorite seasons; I love Autumn best, but Spring is probably second. I guess because they're the in-between seasons when it's not too hot, or too cold. ;P
ReplyDeletexx Alyssa — fragments of memories
You're right, there's definitely something very enjoyable about the transitioning times between summer and winter! Although autumn is admittedly a little more cosy as it gets dark outside sooner and you have an excuse to always keep on burning candles ^_^
DeleteReminds me of Easter, I had some similar painted eggs. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI do change my makeup quite a bit depending on the season and my tan (or the absence of it).
LindaLibraLoca: Beauty, Baby and Backpacking
Funnily enough, my first association when I looked at the finished design were Easter eggs, too!
DeleteI'm also trying to gradually build up my tan towards summer, although my results are usually rather poor ^.^''
Beautiful nails...definitely perfect for spring! :)

ReplyDeleteErin | Erin and Katherine Talk Beauty
Thank youu ♥
DeleteAnd yes, I use striping tape that I got off of ebay for many of my designs! I find that it creates a much cleaner edge compared to when I try it freehanded ☺

DeleteHey there I am just sitting here in Seoul as a German Exchange Student and I read your blog and I was like hey there is someone Blogging from Germany xD So nice to hear from back home!! :D And your nails are sooo cute too ^^ Did it take Long for you to learn how to do nailart? I always seem to mess nails up -.-' Do you have a tipp for ripped Skin ?
ReplyDeleteWow, it's so cool that you got the chance to do an exchange to South Korea! I hope you're having an amazing time over there ☺
DeleteI naturally have quite a steady hand and also the necessary patience to do nailart which is kind of the groundwork - so it actually wasn't really a long learning process for me ^.^
For ripped skin, I'd recommend using a deep moisturizer on the area around your nail and maybe let it sink in overnight. You can of course use one of those special cuticle creams but I think that normal vaseline will do just as fine! ☺
Oh thank you ^^ It is great over here :D Haha that must be great xD my right Hand is ok but the left one shakes like I am a granny -.-' Thank you for your answer I'll try that out! :)
DeleteI find it definitely much harder to paint my nails with the left hand as well, but a cotton bud dipped into polish remover is comes in very handy when I mess up .. which I do in 90% of the cases :D
DeletexD That relieves me XD
DeleteThose nails are LUSH xxxx
