When I’m sitting at my desk
procrastinating and doing my best at putting off work for as long as possible (as
per usual), I’m lucky enough to have a beautiful view of our garden through my
window. Especially in spring when everything’s blooming and colourful outside,
this can be a serious distraction when you actually want to get some work done
for once.
By chance, one of my favourite
plants, which is the magnolia, actually stands right in front of my window. As
its blooming period is usually very short,
I always make sure to take a picture before all of the petals have fallen
down.
Somehow, this beautiful sight made
me want to have some kind of floral design on my nails as well which is why I
created this simple, bright and spring-appropriate nail art!
Polishes used:
main colour: ciaté - main stage
white: essie - blanc
yellow: ciaté - big yellow taxi
top coat: essie - good to go
Ahhhh how cuuuute!!! This makes me want to get back into painting my nails. I've been neglecting them. ;( That photo is gorgeous; I love magnolias! My favorite bloom in Spring is definitely all of the fruit blossoms. I just love how the trees look all filled up with light pink/white flowers and then when they start falling and there are tiny, pretty petals raining everywhere. ❤

I agree, the fruit blossoms are especially pretty! There is actually an apple tree standing right next to the magnolia in our garden which has such pretty flowers as well ☺
Deletewow I adore the color, such a perfect spring manicure

Thank you so much! ☺
DeleteThat's what you see when looking out of your window? Wow! I mean, I live in front of a row of stunning trees and a fields, but that magnolia tree is beauuuutiful. I don't think I'd be able to concentrate on work, either xD I like your nail art. It looks elegant, but playful at the same time. How do you manage to keep your nails in such healthy and good looking condition? Tell me all your secrets o_o
ReplyDeleteletscoba.blogspot.com
You're right, I'm definitely blessed with the view that I have ^_^
DeleteI also think that I'm quite blessed with naturally strong and healthy looking nails :D I honestly don't do much to keep them in a good condition. The only thing is that I always make sure to use a base coat underneath to avoid that my nails turn yellow from the polish that I use on top .. which has unfortunately happened to me before and certainly wasn't a good look ^.^''
So you're naturally good looking and awesome! :D That's good for you, but bad for me. I was hoping for some tips XD And yeah, I remember when I was... 15 or so. My nails were of a weird yellow colour, because I kept using black nailpolish without any base coat. Not so pretty, hahaha.
DeleteThat's not quite what I wanted to say with that! :D
DeleteAnd I can totally relate - black and bright red nail polishes are the WORST when it comes to staining your nails o.o
Aw, I know, I was just joking around ♥
DeleteAnd yep, never using red or black without a protective coat again x_x
Such a lovely view from your window. I love your nails, what a nice and cute idea.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day.
